Internships are an important part of the Master’s program, and the ones in this option are designed to better prepare future college-level philosophy teachers. Key philosophers and philosophy trends and texts in the pre-university program are examined, along with techniques for teaching about them. Internships also include observation periods and practice teaching.
The La pratique de l'enseignement supérieur (PLU6035) course, offered in partnership with the Faculty of Education, is an excellent way of complementing these internships. It is an integral part of the Teaching philosophy at the college level option, and looks at different pedagogical issues and teaching strategies and principles at the college and university levels.
