Research interests
The philosophy professors at the Université de Montréal have expertise in all aspects of the discipline and historical periods. They form a renowned group whose research is at the cutting edge in what are internationally considered priority fields.
The excellence of their research and teaching is frequently recognized by the awards and distinctions they receive, such as the prestigious Alexander von Humboldt Foundation Fellowship and the Killam Research Fellowship.
The faculty is also closely linked to several international research networks and groups, and includes a Canada Research Chair. Our professors are also involved in organizing many international symposia and actively engaged in the philosophy community in Quebec, North America as a whole, and Europe.
