Biographie

Je suis professeur au département de philosophie de l'Université de Montréal depuis 2013. Après un baccalauréat à Concordia (2001), une maîtrise à l'UdM (2004) et un doctorat de l'Albert-Ludwigs-Universität, Freiburg en Allemagne (2009), j'ai effectué des stages postdoctoraux à McGill et Chicago de 2009 à 2013 (FRQSC, CRSH) ainsi qu'aux universités de Cologne et Copenhague en 2022 et 2023 (Humboldt). Parallèlement à mon projet de recherche principal sur La phénoménologie et les normes de la perception (CRSH 2019-2024), je suis présentement co-titulaire de la chaire de recherche ESOPE en philosophie (2020-24) pour un projet intitulé L'unité de la perception (https://chaireesope.org/). Je viens de terminer une monographie pour Oxford University Press qui s'intitule Phenomenology and the Norms of the Perception (à paraître en juin 2024) et je penche actuellement sur mon nouveau projet, consacré à la plasticité de la perception.

Mes intérêts de recherche se situent à la croisée de la phénoménologie, la philosophie de la perception et la philosophie de l'esprit. Mon projet de recherche actuel principal porte sur la phénoménologie des normes de l'expérience perceptuelle (CRSH - Savoir 2019-2024).
